39 Degrees & Over | Aussie Travel Diary

Peninsula Hot Springs is located in Melbourne, around an hour drive away from the CBD. It's also located on the very end tip of Melbourne which is even colder down here. Brrrr!
The Peninsula was so relaxing! It was basically a small island where you could relax from head to toe. From saunas, to cold plunge pools, jet pools, thermal mineral showers, and hand and foot baths.
I went in the early morning around 7am, the air was crisp and chilling against my skin. It was probably the perfect weather to go to the hot springs. Each bath was around 38-40 degrees. Every bath had a different view and purpose to them. For example, going into the cold plunge is to increase your metabolism. The reflexology walk is a technique where you walk along the rocks it hits different pressure points within your feet that would then generate a positive response to your nerves, bones and muscles. But the first time walking on this walk, it wasn't so relaxing. I'm guessing I had so much tension, it just hurt me instead of relaxing me.
This is during Winter almost Spring season. It was still quite busy. Knowing myself, even though I am a winter baby, I love the summer, so going into the hot springs was the way too go!
